We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Strategic Procurement Manager – Generalist. The ideal candidate should have broad expertise in commodities such as hydraulics, carbon & graphite, electrochemical components, electronics, and energy plants. As a company specializing in REDOX Flow Batteries based on Iron Salt Chemistry, we require a professional with deep expertise in this field or a closely related industry. The main objective of this role is to evolve our supplier portfolio into a fully established supply chain, ensuring source assurance and cost efficiency at scale.

As experts in stationary flow batteries, we aim to cover all application areas of stationary battery storage systems with our multi-technology approach and thus make a significant contribution to the energy transition.

Your tasks

• Identify new suppliers for high-value industrial goods, electrical components, and balance of plant for energy installations under strategic considerations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs across high-value industrial goods and diverse commodities, ensuring competitive pricing at scale.
• Enhance necessary supplier initiatives that drive cost efficiency and scalability, fostering strong long-term relationships with suppliers eager to engage in new business opportunities with us.
• Work closely with engineering and product management to align procurement decisions with product roadmaps and cost-out initiatives.
• Analyze and refine Bills of Materials for new and existing products, driving supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings.

Requirements

• Background in Engineering or Business with a Technical Training.
• Minimum of 5-10 years in strategic procurement, preferably in Batteries environment, Chemistry Engineering, or a similar technology.
• Strong understanding of supplier negotiations, cost structure analysis, and long-term partnership development.
• Demonstrated success in scaling procurement operations and supplier networks in previous roles.
• Experience working with Balance of Plant (BoP) for energy installations and planning procurement strategies for new product introductions.
