To strengthen our team in the internationally active Corporate Engineering Department at the Leverkusen site, we are looking for a successor to the position of:

Civil Engineer for Plant Engineering (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

• Independent planning and technical management of demanding plant engineering tasks in our (inter)national chemical plant engineering projects, including replacement of plant components, new construction, capacity expansions, energy optimization, and use of modern environmental technologies.
• Responsibility and project controlling for quality, costs, deadlines, safety, and environmental protection in all project phases: from concept to detailed planning, procurement, construction management, and assembly monitoring at our plants in Germany and abroad.
• Development and evaluation of complex construction concepts, options, and strategies for industrial construction projects, including cost estimation and scheduling.
• Contract management.
• Management and coordination of specialist groups and external companies involved.
• Technical specialist and point of contact for regulations, ensuring subject-specific expertise.
• Familiarization with special areas such as acid protection construction, fire protection, and water resources law.
• Construction consulting and support for the KRONOS plants.

Your Profile:

• Degree in civil engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in managing and organizing construction tasks, ideally in the chemical industry within an international environment.
• In-depth knowledge of plant and cost planning, project management, and structural engineering.
• Knowledge of relevant legal requirements (including BImSchG, AwSV, building permit).
• Structured, independent, and analytical working style; strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High personal responsibility, diligence, resilience, and flexibility.
• Confident handling of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD 2019, and SAP.
• Building certification authorization in North Rhine-Westphalia.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel.
