Job Description:

We ensure that Infineon’s in-house circuit simulator stays a first-class tool. As a member of our team, you will have the freedom to utilize your software development skills in cross-disciplinary applications, being involved in development, implementation, maintenance, and tool support. Your work will influence the simulation methodology used by Infineon’s designers worldwide, and you will continually develop your skills through collaboration with highly skilled colleagues.

In your role, you will:

  1. Develop Infineon’s in-house circuit simulator
  2. Optimize the simulator for performance, features, and maintainability
  3. Refactor and maintain existing software modules
  4. Support our global user community
  5. Write technical documentation
  6. Participate in EU-funded projects relevant to Infineon’s simulation communities

You are best suited for this role if you have:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
  2. Several years of experience in simulation software development, EDA, or related technical areas
  3. Strong programming skills in C++/C on Linux and Windows
  4. Knowledge of SystemC
  5. Experience with co-simulation environments and coupling algorithms (preferred)
  6. Understanding of numerical methods, data structures, algorithms, and memory optimization
  7. Self-motivation and excellent problem-solving skills
  8. Hands-on experience with SPICE simulators or simulation frameworks (optional but advantageous)
  9. Excellent English communication skills; German skills are a plus
