Job summary

CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA seeks a hands-on Platform Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate Eventim’s Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform. You’ll help shape the cloud strategy with DevOps practices and cross-functional collaboration.

The role focuses on securing data foundations, scalable GCP environments, and automated, reliable deployments for analytics workloads. Strong English communication is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP core services (Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GCS, IAM).
• Proven ability to design GCP Landing Zones with policy controls and VPCs.
• Experience with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow for analytics workloads.
• IaC principles with Terraform or OpenTofu for modular deployments.
• Docker, GKE, and Cloud Run for containerized workloads.

We are seeking a hands-on Platform Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate Eventim’s next-generation Data Platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be instrumental in developing the scalable, secure, and automated data infrastructure that powers insights for one of the world’s leading ticketing and live entertainment platforms.

As part of a newly reorganized Data Platform team, you will shape the foundations of Eventim’s cloud engineering strategy through modern DevOps practices and agile collaboration.

What to expect:

• Design and evolve theGCP Landing Zone, managing organization-level policies, folder hierarchies, and multi-project environments to ensure a secure and structured data foundation.
• Buildandmaintainscalable, secure GCP-based environments specificallyoptimizedfor data workloads.
• Develop andoptimizeCI/CD workflows to streamline application delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)for consistent, secure, repeatable deployments.
• Operate monitoring stacks to ensure peak performance, high availability, and proactive issue detection.
• Partner with application, data, and security teams to drive automation, scalability, and compliance.
• Advance the orchestration and lifecycle management of containerized workloads.
• Support incident response and drive continuous improvements to platform stability.

What you’ll need:

• Strong practical experience with core services includingCompute Engine, Cloud SQL, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), IAM, Cloud Functions, Shared VPC,andNetwork Connectivity Center.
• Provenexpertisein designing and managingGCP Landing Zones, includingResource Manager (Folders/Projects), Organization Policies,andVPC Service Controlsfor data perimeter security.
• Hands-on experience with data-centric services such asBigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow to support large-scale analytics workloads.
• ExpertisewithTerraformorOpenTofuand a deep understanding ofIaCprinciples for modular, reusable deployments.
• ProficiencywithDocker,Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), andCloud Runfor managing both long-running and serverless containerized data workloads.
• Experience building workflows withGitLab CI, GitHub Actions, orArgoCD, powered by strong scriptingproficiencyinPython or Bashto automate platform tasks.
• Collaborative, agile mindset in cross-functional teams.
• Great communicator, both spoken and written English; German is a plus.
