About the Role & Team

As a Senior Specialist Sourcing, you will support the Manufacturing Procurement Team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Procurement, you will be part of the Business Unit Airports, responsible for creating and implementing sourcing plans and strategies for a designated Business Unit, Support Function, or Region.

This position requires worldwide travel of approximately 30-50% of the time.

You will develop and maintain supplier and internal stakeholder relationships for your designated Business Unit, Support Function, or Region, contributing to cost savings and efficiency targets.

What You Will Do:

• Work with relevant Business Unit or Support Function teams to gather high-quality market intelligence on overall business needs and supply base.
• Provide guidance and advice to internal customers.
• Create and implement sourcing strategies for specific purchasing needs aligned with business goals.
• Adapt strategies to changing business directions and needs.
• Select suppliers and negotiate contract terms.
• Identify market threats and opportunities to enhance value, optimize performance, and minimize risks.
• Lead initiatives for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and service quality improvements.
• Maintain records and justifications for negotiated savings.
• Achieve or surpass individual annual financial savings targets.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and policies related to supply agreements.
• Monitor and report on performance against service levels, seeking feedback from the business.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a purchasing role.
• At least 3 years experience in developing strategic or custom procurement strategies.
• Qualification in Commercial/Financial sciences, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Membership in a recognized purchasing professional body is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have:

• Proficiency in German.
• Experience in manufacturing procurement.
