We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager to cover one or several of the commodities within our cluster Logistics such as Warehouse Equipment, Construction, Facility Management and/or Transport. The goal is to support our Business Unit and deliver Sourcing Strategies in the field of Automation, Shelving, Construction Fit-out and/or Facility Management. Your Goal will be to support the responsible Business Units to translate their functional strategies into commercial targets and to make them happen.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• You will be responsible for managing several commodities such as, but not limited to, Automation, Picktowers, Construction Fit-outs/MEPs and Facility Management, both from the Capex and Opex perspective.
• You will develop, establish and maintain cost-effective, service-oriented as well as quality-focused strategic supplier relationships and be a key account for one or several of our strategic suppliers.
• You will partner with the Logistic Network Development, Material Flow, Facility Management, Transport Solutions and the Real estate Teams to fulfil their procurement needs as well as guiding them strategically based on the market trends.
• You will continually benchmark your suppliers to monitor cost and technology trends and ensure best practices are incorporated into Zalando’s projects pipeline and sourcing strategies.
• You will establish supplier selection criteria, evaluate alternative suppliers, manage the RFQ process, and drive final supplier selection in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
• You will negotiate purchase agreements and framework contracts with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, capacity and service terms.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant purchasing experience (sourcing, engineering, supply chain, product or manufacturing) in fast-paced organisations with exposure to innovative and new approaches to procurement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, sourcing, supply chain management, finance or comparable qualification.
• You are analytical and have a problem-solving attitude with a proven ability to achieve cost savings and overall efficiency on focused categories of spend.
• You are able to coordinate and manage multiple internal stakeholders with various levels of hierarchy and drive collaboration and partnerships with our vendors.
• Effectively communicate (verbal, written and visually) globally, in English, across the matrix and across a broad partner base in varied settings.
