Job summary

As Senior Solutions Engineer (German Speaker), you will establish credibility while managing all technical aspects of the sales process. You will partner with Account Executives as a trusted technical advisor for DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions, articulate how DigiCert delivers value to technical and business stakeholders, and develop strong relationships with prospects, partners, and customers to retain and grow existing accounts across the DACH region.

What you will do

1. Partner with the Account Executive team, taking responsibility for technical closure to drive revenue and customer success.
2. Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions and architecture.
3. Provide demonstrations of DigiCert solutions and services to key prospects and customers.
4. Facilitate technical evaluations of customer engagements in a Proof of Value (POV) environment.
5. Assist in responding to functional and technical elements of RFPs/RFIs.
6. Analyze customer needs and architect/develop potential solutions based on DigiCert PKI/IoT/Signing solutions to meet customer objectives.
7. Capture feature requests from prospects and customers to provide feedback to Product Management.
8. Manage projects through planning, tracking, and reporting.
9. Work independently and collaboratively with sales and cross-functional teams.
10. Present topics at field events such as conferences and seminars as a technical resource.
11. Travel as necessary to customer sites and industry events to support departmental objectives.
12. Other duties as required.
13. Territory: DACH region.
14. Expected travel: 20-25%.

What you will have

• Professional working proficiency in German and English (essential).
• 5+ years of pre-sales, sales, solutions engineering, or consulting experience in cybersecurity or PKI.
• Understanding of IT systems, cloud computing, and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT technologies (Windows, Linux, Mac, AD/AAD/LDAP, load balancers, web servers).
• Deep technical understanding of PKI, digital trust, and cybersecurity principles, with best practices in security design and implementation.
• Experience or familiarity with ServiceNow, GitHub, and REST API integrations.
• Hands-on scripting and automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Ability to perform product demonstrations and proof-of-concept integrations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
