Build the future of the AI Data Cloud. Join the Snowflake team.

We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer for the German market who can solve our customer’s most complex problems. In this role, you will work directly with the account sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of Daimler, strategize on how to best support them in their adoption and acceleration of Snowflake products and solutions.

As a Snowflake Solution Engineer, you will share our passion for solving complex data challenges and helping organizations maximize their data assets. Our technical landscape is ever-evolving, and you should be keen to learn new skills and apply them to real-world challenges. You will translate features and functions into solutions that solve business problems, engaging with technical and business teams, end users, and more. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Presenting Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
  2. Working hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demos to proof of concept to design and implementation.
  3. Creating and developing technical champions within your accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
  4. Confidently presenting Snowflake’s roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects.
  5. Maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and positioning Snowflake effectively.
  6. Collaborating with other sales engineers to learn and improve continuously.
  7. Working with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake’s offerings.
  8. Representing Snowflake at industry or customer events.
  9. Partnering with our ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and account strategies.

On Day One, You Are Expected to Have:

  1. Extensive solution engineering or relevant industry experience in a SaaS environment (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.).
  2. A proven track record of delivering technical wins and building strong customer relationships.
  3. Leadership qualities that uplift your team or region.
  4. Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
  5. Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
  6. Hands-on experience with SQL.
  7. Ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake solutions.
  8. Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken German.

Preferred (but not required) Skills:

  1. Hands-on experience with Python.
  2. Experience with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration tools, git, etc.
  3. Experience with data science and machine learning technologies.
