We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer for the German market who can solve our customer's most complex problems. In this role, you will work directly with the account sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of Daimler, strategize on how to best support them in their adoption and acceleration of the Snowflake products and solutions.

As a Snowflake Solution Engineer, you share our passion for solving complex data challenges and helping organizations get the most out of their data assets. Our technical landscape is ever-evolving, and you are keen to learn new skills and apply them to real-world challenges. You can translate features and functions into solutions that solve business problems in conversations with technical or business teams, end users, or executives.

You will get to:

  1. Present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers.
  2. Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation.
  3. Create and develop technical champions within your accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
  4. Stay at the forefront of Snowflake technology and confidently present roadmap features and functionality to customers and prospects.
  5. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and how to position Snowflake effectively.
  6. Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from each other’s experiences.
  7. Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake's products and marketing strategies.
  8. Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
  9. Partner with our ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and collaborate on account strategies.

On day one, we expect you to have:

  • Extensive solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.).
  • A proven track record of delivering technical wins and building strong customer relationships.
  • Leadership qualities that uplift others in your team or region.
  • Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Understanding of data architecture, data analytics, and cloud technology.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL.
  • The ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English.

Preferred (but not required) skills include:

  • Hands-on experience with Python.
  • Experience with modern data technologies (e.g., dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, Git).
  • Experience with data science and machine learning technologies.
