Senior Solution Engineer (Allianz) - Global Accounts

We are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer for the German market who can solve our customer's most complex problems. In this role, you will work directly with the account sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of Allianz, strategize on how to best support them in their adoption and acceleration of the Snowflake products and solutions.

As a Snowflake Solution Engineer, you share our passion for solving complex data challenges and helping organizations maximize their data assets. Our technical landscape is constantly evolving, and you are eager to learn new skills and apply them to real-world challenges. You can translate features and functions into solutions that address business problems, engaging with technical teams, end users, or executives.

In this role, you will:

1. Present Snowflake's technology and vision to both technical and executive audiences.
2. Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle.
3. Create and develop technical champions within your accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
4. Stay at the forefront of Snowflake technology, confidently presenting roadmap features and functionalities.
5. Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and positioning Snowflake effectively.
6. Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from each other and improve collectively.
7. Work with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake's products and marketing strategies.
8. Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
9. Partner with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and collaborate on strategic initiatives.

On day one, you are expected to have:

• Extensive solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.).
• A proven track record of delivering technical wins and building strong customer relationships.
• Leadership qualities that uplift your team or region.
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Understanding of data architecture, analytics, and cloud technology.
• Hands-on experience with SQL.
• Ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake solutions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in German (fluent in spoken and written).

Preferred (but not required) qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with modern data technologies like dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, git, etc.
• Knowledge of data science and machine learning technologies.
