Siemens IT IPS invites a Solution Architect to define the technical vision and architecture for IT/OT Security Platforms, including SINEC Secure Connect and ManageEngine, aligning with Siemens' Zero Trust and digitalization strategy. You will collaborate with factories, cybersecurity experts, service managers, product teams, and partners.

The role focuses on scalable, secure, future-ready solutions, integrating legacy brownfield environments, and translating security and business requirements

Qualifikationen

• University degree in IT, CS, engineering or cybersecurity.
• 3+ years OT security and brownfield integration experience.
• Fluent English; German is beneficial.
• Experience in IT/OT convergence and secure data flows.

As a Solution Architect for our IT/OT Security Platforms you will define the technical vision and architecture for strategic service offerings. You will work closely with factories, cybersecurity experts, service managers, product teams, and technology partners to design scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions that support Siemens' Zero Trust and digitalization strategy. Our OT Zero Trust Platform enables secure IT/OT communication through identity-based connectivity concepts, while our OT Patch Management enables centralized endpoint management, patching, hardening and compliance for enterprise and production-related devices.

• You design and evolve the target architecture for our IT/OT Security Platforms (SINEC Secure Connect and ManageEngine), ensuring alignment with Siemens cybersecurity, operational, and business requirements.
• You define secure IT/OT communication concepts based on Zero Trust principles and develop architectures for remote access, machine connectivity, application communication, and future AI-driven use cases.
• You support Siemens factories in integrating modern security and management solutions into existing brownfield environments, considering legacy systems, industrial protocols, and operational constraints.
• You translate business, security, and operational requirements into scalable platform architectures, governance models, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.
• You collaborate with factories, cybersecurity teams, service owners, vendors, and technology partners to establish architecture standards and drive service adoption across Siemens.
• You define integration concepts between connectivity services, endpoint management platforms, monitoring solutions, automation frameworks, and enterprise systems.
• You evaluate new technologies and architecture patterns and contribute to the continuous evolution of Siemens' IT/OT security and platform landscape.
• You enable data-driven and AI-supported operational use cases by designing architectures that support secure data flows, automation, analytics, and platform interoperability.

This Is How You’ll Win Us Over

• Education: You have a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience and Skills:
  • You possess strong expertise in Zero Trust and OT Security Architecture, including concepts such as identity-centric networking, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and industry frameworks such as NIST SP 800-207 and IEC 62443.
  • You have proven experience with OT Infrastructure and Brownfield Integration (of at least 3+ years), including industrial environments, legacy systems, machine-to-machine communication, industrial protocols, network segmentation, and hybrid IT/OT architectures.
  • You bring solid knowledge of Endpoint, Asset and Service Management Architectures, including endpoint management, asset discovery, software deployment, patch management, CMDB, and IT service management platforms.
  • You are experienced in Platform and Enterprise Architecture (of at least 3+ years) and can translate business and security requirements into scalable technical solutions, governance models, operating concepts, and technology roadmaps.
  • You possess strong capabilities in Platform Integration, Automation, AI and Analytics, including API-based integration, monitoring, automation, operational data flows, and AI-ready platform design.
• Ways of Working:
  • You are able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and successfully align diverse stakeholder groups.
  • You work in a structured and strategic manner and are comfortable operating in international and cross-functional environments.
  • You provide your support during Central European Time Zone (CET).
