Siemens seeks a System Architect (f/m/d) for Product and Solution Security to lead international teams and drive the full application lifecycle toward secure, future‑proof architectures.

You will guide end‑to‑end development from ideation workshops and prototype work to successful commercial go‑live, developing scalable solutions for wireless communication and low‑voltage power electronics devices while applying secure coding practices.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
• Extensive embedded software experience across diverse domains (industry, consultancy, academia).
• Strong knowledge of RTOS, hardware‑software integration, and secure coding practices.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems; familiar with CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and debugging tools; multilingual German/English a plus.

• Drive the entire application lifecycle—from initial ideation workshops and prototype development to successful commercial go-live

Your defining qualities:

• Education: The basis of your success is a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field.
• Experience & Skills
  • Many years of professional experience in embedded software development and architecture, ideally across diverse domains (industry, consultancy, academia).
  • Deep knowledge of embedded software design principles, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software integration. Certifications in embedded systems or software architecture are a plus.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python for embedded systems and automation scripting, with hands‑on experience in microcontrollers, SoCs, low‑level drivers, and various communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE, Matter).
  • Proficient in designing scalable, modular, and secure embedded architectures for complex systems, complemented by strong software modeling skills, interface definition, and expertise in secure coding practices and product security standards.
  • Experienced with debugging tools, emulators, and performance optimization for resource‑constrained systems, alongside familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for embedded development and version control systems (e.g., GitLab).
• Ways of working
  • Proven track record in guiding agile and remote teams for embedded software projects, including defining KPIs, applying industry best practices, and introducing new tools and processes.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Languages: You are fluent in both spoken and written German and English.
