Overview

Senior Software Engineer at Doctolib We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the DIAL team in Phone Assistant domain. As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission will be to work on revolutionizing access to care for patients and day-to-day practice management for practitioners through our Phone Assistant. You will be working in a feature team developing the phone interaction capabilities that enable seamless communication between practitioners and patients across Germany, France, and Italy. Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.

Responsibilities
  • Build and operate backend services in Node.js/TypeScript with additional exposure to Python
  • Ship cloud-native systems on Kubernetes and Cloud Services(AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Set up and evolve CI/CD with GitHub Actions
  • Keep a high testing bar (unit, integration, e2e) and design for testability
  • Debug and improve distributed systems in production with strong observability

Who you are

  • You have at least 5+ years of backend engineering experience
  • You have the ability to design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient backend systems using Node.js/TypeScript (with some Python)
  • You have proven experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes within at least one major Cloud Service(AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • You have experience with CI/CD(e.g., GitHub Actions)
  • You have a proven testing culture (unit/integration/e2e) and code quality focus
Nice to have
  • Experience with real-time communication systems (WebRTC, chat, streaming, or VoIP)
  • Exposure to telephony basics (SIP, RTP/SRTP, SBCs, SIP trunks)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ/NATS/Redis Streams)
