Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working in a feature team on the practitioner-side of the application. Your mission will be to develop the billing software for our German practitioners, simplifying cumbersome and time-consuming workflows to allow practitioners to spend more time with their patients and help us become the go-to healthcare operating system. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features to simplify billing workflows for healthcare practitioners
- Thinking user first and help improve our user experience through new features and design updates while maintaining high code quality standards;
- Take a leading role within the team and contribute to establishing a technical vision that ensures the performance, security, and usability of the application
- Bring your expertise and past experiences to help us continuously improve the way we work
- Improve the performance of key features implemented in Ruby on Rails and React (TypeScript/Javascript), sometimes challenging the status quo

- You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
- You have strong technical skills, with experience in scale-up companies
- You have a strong background with our stack: Ruby on Rails and React but also relational databases and Typescript
- You have a “user first” mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
- You are fluent in English. A good level of German is a plus but not a must-have.
