We are looking for you! We offer a full-time position (40h/week) as a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig or Munich. The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office.

You’llplay a key role in designing,developingandmaintainingscalable backend services, APIs, and data-driven systems using modern technologies.
Your work will directly impact our products and contribute to delivering exceptional value to our users.

Your essential experience and education

• Strong experience withNodeJS,TypeScript, andExpressJS.
• Solid understanding ofGraphQLand API development.
• Hands-on experience withPostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.
• Proficiencyin writing unit/integration tests usingJest.
• Familiarity withESLintandmaintainingcode quality standards.
• Experience with at least one modern ORM framework (Sequelizepreferred)
• Monitoring and error tracking with at least one modern framework (Sentrypreferred).
• Familiarity withFirebasefor backend services.
• Version control and CI/CD knowledge usingGitLab
• Experience with container orchestrationKubernetes.
• Experience withTypeGraphQLis a plus
• Experience in cloud platformAWSis a plus

Your mission

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend services using NodeJS, TypeScript and ExpressJS.
• Build and consume APIs, ensuring performance,scalabilityand security.
• Work closely with frontend developers, product owners and QA to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
• Write andmaintainunit/integration tests.
• Follow clean code principles and enforce coding standards.
• Design,optimizedatabase schemas and queries.
• Participate in code reviews, in team meetings and contribute to improving development workflows.
• Document software architecture, design decisions and code effectively.
