We are looking for you! We offer a full-time position (40h / week) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig or Munich. The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office.
Your mission
- Help us maintain and further develop our technology stack, primarily written in NodeJS, with clean and well-documented code.
- Manage the deployment lifecycle of applications with automation tools like Jenkins, including building, testing, and deploying.
- Lead efforts to modernize and containerize applications, and be comfortable with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Ensure the health and performance of applications using our Elasticsearch observability stack.
- Provide technical guidance and support for DevOps practices to elevate the team.
- Participate in internal engineering communities and cross-functional groups to stay current.
- Contribute to code quality and implement engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Support team-building activities and assist in conflict moderation and resolution.
- Engage in people development activities, including training, professional growth, and performance reviews.
Your essential experience and education
- Several years of experience in automating deployments, testing, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in programming with modern frameworks such as Node.js.
- Experience designing or architecting systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Jenkins.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Proven leadership potential demonstrated through problem-solving, collaboration, and commitment to team success.
