The team is part of the “Deposit Tribe”, which consists of four teams that collaborate closely on the mission: To deliver solutions which enable simple, effective deposit taking banks partnerships that offer best-in-market Deposit products to Customers.

As a cross-functional team consisting of frontend and backend engineers, Deposits Brokerage team builds, runs and maintains the core platform solution for Raisin, enabling the capability to serve our public deposits offering on B2C and B2B channels, receive deposit orders and maintain their state over time.

The team owns the whole lifecycle from design and development through maintenance of the services at runtime. The team is responsible for the 24/7 runtime support of their services.


Tech Stack

Your Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate great expertise in writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code across the team’s tech stack—mainly Java, but Python as well for backend—adhering to best practices in software development. Implement new features and maintain existing codebases to ensure high performance and availability.

  • Take ownership and implement robust software architectures that meet business needs, particularly in the context of financial applications.

  • Drive cross-team projects and discuss requirements with multiple stakeholders.

  • Conduct code reviews, uphold coding standards, and contribute to improving the development process. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality output within the team.

  • Translate product requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions by providing technical insights. Ensure that all solutions delivered align with and support the organization's objectives.

  • Have in-depth knowledge of all product and technical aspects of the domain.

  • Proactively manage technical debt and maintain clear documentation within your team.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and peers, supporting their growth and promoting effective coding practices. Lead by example in following best practices and striving for technical excellence.

  • Participate in the hiring process through technical interviews and tech challenge reviews.


Your Profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.

  • Very strong hands-on development focus.

  • You have a track record of leading technical projects and initiatives.

  • Your deliveries have exceptional quality in both functional and non-functional aspects (security, scalability, resilience)

  • You are an excellent code reviewer and extraordinary pair-programmer

  • Proven expertise in developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications using Java, Python and SQL for the backend and optionally TypeScript/JavaScript for the frond-end.

  • Previous experience working on projects that involve financial data, such as financial reporting, or integration with financial systems.

  • Solid experience with event driven microservices architecture (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, AirFlow, MySQL).

  • English is our company language and excellent verbal and written skills are a must

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
