Jobbeschreibung

As part of our cross-functional agile Software Team, you will develop innovative and interactive software solutions for our clinical & GMP instrument portfolio. You will also provide guidance to junior team members and help improve our development processes, making a significant contribution to team growth.

Your tasks

1. Design, specify, implement, and integrate modern software solutions to provide our research and clinical customers with state-of-the-art technology and novel solutions.
2. Write software in Java, C, and Qt; apply unit testing; conduct peer reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
3. Oversee the application software layers of a key instrument, maintaining and developing them.
4. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and clinical instruments.
5. Create technical documentation and assist in troubleshooting and debugging software-hardware interactions.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or comparable qualification with experience in C, Qt, and Java, including multithreading, UI widgets, and hardware interaction. Clean code is second nature to you.
• Extensive experience in software development using Java and C across various projects; strong understanding of software layers, error analysis, system improvement, and software maintenance/extension.
• Agile mindset, solution-oriented, comfortable working in an international environment with complex systems.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Ability to lead and guide team members when necessary.
• Experience in cell processing and knowledge of software requirements for cell processing systems, with domain-specific knowledge in biotechnology or medical devices (preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and regulatory standards like IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 (ideally).
