Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced software engineer to lead the infrastructure efforts of secunet's Software Factory.

The Software Factory is secunet's innovation program, designed to develop new product classes with a focus on security. It includes a team of motivated software engineers working on shared components and a DevSecOps platform supporting the entire product lifecycle. This role involves both software and systems engineering to build and operate IT infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. Your efforts will focus on infrastructure development, system optimization, and automation.

• OpenStack

Your responsibilities include maintaining and improving infrastructure, ensuring observability, designing Nix build infrastructure, coordinating with teams, aligning IT strategy, documenting work, and ensuring security using modern technologies. The role requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills, expertise in on-premises deployments, extensive experience with NixOS, knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, contributions to open source, programming skills in Rust, Python, Go, or similar languages, and the ability to work autonomously. Familiarity with German is advantageous but not mandatory.
