The Opportunity

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Solid Labs, you’ll work alongside AI researchers, backend engineers, product designers, and creative technologists to craft a powerful and elegant interface for generating, editing, and scaling short-form video content. You’ll work closely with a 6× Apple Design Award-winning product designer and shape every layer of our user experience — from video timelines and caption editors to real-time performance dashboards and ML-powered creative tooling.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in frontend engineering or a relevant field
• Strong experience with advanced web technologies like WebGL, WebGPU, WebCodecs, or WebAssembly
• Experience with data visualization libraries and building interactive analytics dashboards
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, especially for media-heavy applications
• Experience building complex, interactive user interfaces with sophisticated state management
• Proven track record implementing pixel-perfect designs with meticulous attention to detail
• Experience as an owner of a particular component, feature or system
• Able to make pragmatic technical decisions that support fast iteration and scaling
• Experience completing projects with a large and ambiguous scope
• Thrives in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, collaborative environments

What You’ll Do

• Build a comprehensive video marketing platform : Create powerful, intuitive interfaces for both video creation and performance analytics using React, Next.js, and modern web standards
• Implement complex UI components : Develop sophisticated interfaces for video timeline editing, effects application, and AI-assisted creative tools
• Design data visualization systems : Create interactive dashboards and reports that help brands understand video performance metrics and audience engagement
• Optimize for performance : Ensure smooth video playback, editing, and data visualization even with complex effects and large datasets
• Collaborate with design : Work closely with our award-winning design team to implement pixel-perfect, delightful user experiences
• Create seamless AI integrations : Build intuitive interfaces that make powerful AI capabilities for both creation and analysis accessible and useful for marketers (growth / performance and creative teams alike)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with video editing or media creation tools, either professional or open-source
• Background in creating WebGL or WebGPU visualizations or effects
• Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, etc.) and building analytics dashboards
• Understanding of metrics and KPIs relevant to video advertising performance
• Knowledge of video codecs, formats, and processing pipelines
• Experience with accessibility in complex, interactive applications
• Familiarity with creative software and analytics UX patterns and best practices
• Previous work with AI-powered tools or interfaces
• Experience with animation libraries and smooth UI transitions
