Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled data/ software engineer in Germany to independently develop and enhance components for Data Engineering, Analytics, and Cloud.

You will design and optimize data pipelines, interfaces, and data-driven applications while contributing to architecture decisions and technical solution concepts across AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI. Collaboration with clients and mentoring of junior staff are key aspects of the role.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of software development and/or data engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI).
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring; REST/web services.
• SQL skills with relational databases.
• Experience with data pipelines, data integration, or analytics applications.
• Nice to have Python/Unix/Linux shell skills; understanding of cloud-native architectures.
• Proficient in German and English.

• Analyzing complex technical requirements and translating them into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions
• Working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Quality assurance, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation
• Close collaboration with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders
• Providing technical support and mentoring to less-experienced colleagues in the team

Requirements

• Practical experience with at least one major cloud provider such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Several years of experience in software development and/or data engineering
• Strong knowledge of Java / Java Enterprise, Spring, REST, XML, or web services
• Good to very good SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience with data pipelines, interfaces, data integration, or analytical applications
• Experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell, or comparable tools is an advantage
• Understanding of software architecture, e.g. multi-tier architectures, microservices, or design patterns
• Confident handling of development tools such as Git, Maven, Jira, or comparable tools
• Experience with big data technologies, modern data platforms, or cloud-native architectures is an advantage
• Structured, analytical, and self-reliant working style
• Ability to understand technical requirements, develop solution proposals, and implement them
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience in client projects or IT consulting is an advantage
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable practical qualification
• Very good German language skills and good English skills
