Shape the future of our customer journey! As a Senior Backend Engineer (all genders), you'll be at the forefront of developing and refining critical customer flow and post-purchase experiences. Collaborating within a dynamic cross-functional team, you'll architect and build innovative, customer-centric solutions in the AWS cloud, directly impacting user satisfaction and our technical standards.

Your role

• Participate & Lead the development and continuous refinement of customer flow and post-purchase initiatives in a collaborative cross-functional team setting.
• Work closely with Product Owners, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to design, develop, and optimize backend services for customer-facing solutions within an AWS cloud environment.
• Identify, overcome, and innovate around technical obstacles, ensuring seamless service functionality.
• Facilitate and drive technical discussions and decision-making processes within your team, always prioritizing customer impact and technical excellence.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical advancement among peers.
• Drive technical discussions and maintain a relentless focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

Your profile

• 5+ years of proficient, hands-on expertise in Node.js / Python, with a strong understanding and deep mastery of backend development principles. Prior experience with PHP is highly advantageous and considered a significant asset.
• Proven excellence in designing and developing complex, distributed systems, ideally within highly scalable cloud environments.
• Solid experience with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions, or other cloud-native services (e.g., GCP, Azure).
• Deep understanding and experience integrating test automation at various levels (unit, integration, E2E) into your development workflow.
• Database experience with both NoSQL (e.g., DynamoDB) and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) in cloud environments.
• Understanding of message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, SQS, SNS) for building event-driven architectures.
• Excellent communication skills, paired with a proactive, positive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• A strong sense of ownership and drive to tackle challenges pragmatically and efficiently.
• You are passionate about e-commerce and staying up to date with the latest advancements to ensure your skills remain cutting-edge and impactful.

• Full transparency: For this role, we have a salary band between 75,000€ and 95,000€ gross per year. The salary that we will offer you will always be within this span and is based on the skills that you show during the recruitment process.
