The Data Q Company is seeking an experienced backend engineer to own the full lifecycle of feature development for our data quality platform. You will collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features and production-grade software used by thousands of users.

We value initiative, clear communication in English, and a willingness to take ownership in a fast-moving startup. EU work permit is required; remote-friendly with Munich HQ presence in Germany.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering and operating production backend systems.
• 3+ years of experience with Python and service-oriented or microservice architectures.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Proven ability to make technical decisions in complex systems, balancing scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Solid understanding of tools and processes that enable collaborative development (Git, code reviews, shared ownership).
• Practical experience and interest in using LLM coding assistants as part of your day-to-day workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• (plus) Experience with Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, Kratos, Keto, AWS, Kubernetes.
• (plus) Experience with large-scale data systems (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
• (plus) Worked with and follow the latest trends in LLMs like Sonnet, GPT, Qwen.

You should apply if you have:

5+ years of professional experience delivering and operating production backend systems

3+ years of experience with Python and service-oriented or microservice architectures

Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
