DQC, Munich-based and remote-friendly, seeks a Product Engineer to bridge product vision and technical execution, shaping agentic workflows and a fast-growing platform.
You will own the feature lifecycle, design backend systems for AI-driven data quality tasks, and push the product roadmap with a founder-like ownership mindset. Fluency in English and an EU work permit are essential.
At DQC, we’re building agentic data quality software that fundamentally improves how organizations build and operate data systems. We are a fast-growing startup founded in 2022, headquartered in Munich, and remote-friendly.
The DQC Platform sits at the intersection of backend systems, modern data stacks, and LLM-driven workflows. We are moving toward a future where the distance between specification and production code is bridged by AI. As a Product Engineer at DQC, you won't just build the platform; you will pioneer the agentic workflows that build the platform itself.
Bridge the Gap: Act as the primary interface between product vision and technical execution, translating customer needs into agentic system designs.
Drive Agentic Workflows: Lead our transition toward an automated "spec -> code" development cycle using advanced AI coding agents.
Own the Outcome: Own the full lifecycle of feature development, focusing on the "Why" and "What" as much as the "How."
Architect Intelligence: Design and maintain backend systems that empower LLMs to perform complex data quality and improvement tasks autonomously.
Think Like a Founder: You take extreme ownership of the product roadmap and the user experience, not just the ticket backlog.
Are an AI Native: You don't just use LLMs; you are actively exploring the frontier of agentic workflows and automated software engineering.
Strive for "Self-Healing" Systems: You prefer building systems that can identify and fix data issues over manual oversight.
Communicate with Precision: You can explain complex technical trade-offs to stakeholders and write "prompt-ready" specifications.
Value Velocity: You are motivated by the chance to shape both the product and the engineering culture in a high-speed startup.
5+ years of professional experience delivering production-grade systems, with a strong emphasis on product-led development.
Technical Roots: experience with technical specs (you must be able to "speak" the specs, even as agents write the code).
Agentic Expertise: Proven experience using and advancing agentic workflows (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, or custom agent frameworks) in a professional or intensive personal capacity.
Data Fluency: Strong experience with databases/data-warehouses or core data systems and the ability to navigate modern data stacks.
Decision-Making Mojo: A track record of making high-stakes product decisions that balance immediate product needs with long-term scalability.
Fluent English: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Requirement: A valid EU work permit.
Hands-on experience with frontier AI models and coding agents, including Claude , OpenAI Codex , and Kimi .
Experience in a fast-paced startup environment where roles are fluid.
Future-Proof Role: A chance to be at the forefront of the agentic software revolution.
Ownership: Above-market compensation and a virtual share program (VSOP).
Growth: A steep learning curve in a fast-growing AI startup with short decision paths.
Environment: State-of-the-art office in Munich and a genuine, highly motivated startup culture.
Perks: EGYM Wellpass, team events, and top-tier equipment.
