Senior Software Developer - Java, Spring Boot and DevOps – Up to €90,000 – Gaming Industry – Frankfurt / Hybrid

Are you a Java developer with a passion for building fast, scalable systems—and a soft spot for gaming? We’re working with an innovative game development company that’s scaling up their backend infrastructure and looking for a talented Spring Boot Developer to join their team.

What You’ll Do

Join a small, agile backend team working on real-time systems that power cross-platform games used by thousands of daily users. You’ll refactor legacy components, optimise for performance, and build out entirely new feature modules. You’ll also collaborate closely with the frontend team to make sure players get a seamless experience.

Tech You’ll Work With

• Java (advanced level)
• Spring Boot (MVC & reactive)
• MySQL (query tuning, access patterns, indexing)
• Exposure to Redis , Apache Pulsar , Kubernetes is a big plus

Your Profile

• You're confident working independently in Java and Spring Boot
• You enjoy fine-tuning backend performance
• You're comfortable diving into containerised environments and messaging systems
• You value clean code, smart testing, and cross-functional teamwork

Work Setup

• Full-time or part-time (student) roles available
• Onboarding in person (Frankfurt), then hybrid / remote possible
• Ideally located near Frankfurt – but we’re flexible for the right person
