Jobbeschreibung

Join a company with 25 years of innovation in the manufacturing tech space.

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer at Tacton, you’ll play a key role in building the core of our Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platform—trusted by some of the world’s leading manufacturers. In this role, you’ll leverage your technical expertise to create solutions that meet the needs of global manufacturers. With many exciting changes ahead, Tacton offers the opportunity to take on new challenges, grow your skills, and make a real impact.

What you will do

In this full-stack role, you’ll:

  1. Design and develop backend and frontend features, primarily using Java and TypeScript/JavaScript, with some work in .NET and C++ depending on the project.
  2. Collaborate daily with Product Managers, Architects, and UX Designers to transform real customer needs into scalable, intuitive solutions.
  3. Work with MySQL databases—where solid skills will help you shape performant, reliable systems.
  4. Build and maintain cloud-native services with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  5. Use modern tools like GitLab (CI/CD pipelines), IntelliJ, Jira, and participate in our evaluation of AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot.
  6. Improve existing systems by refactoring, reducing technical debt, and enhancing maintainability.
  7. Embrace test automation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing in a supportive and agile environment.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in Java development.
  2. Comfortable working across the stack.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills with a knack for turning business requirements into technical solutions.
  4. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

It’s a plus if you have:

  1. Experience in SaaS product development.
  2. Experience with cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
  3. Experience with TypeScript and web bundlers.
  4. Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, collaborative, and thrives in a team environment. You’re an innovative thinker and a natural problem-solver who enjoys turning challenges into smart solutions.

Furthermore, we believe in real-time collaboration and prefer you to be on-site two to three days a week at our Karlsruhe office, to foster direct knowledge sharing and innovation.

What we offer

  1. 30 days of vacation per year, plus Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve off—because rest matters.
  2. A hybrid work model with flexible hours based on trust and ownership.
  3. Fresh lunches cooked daily, plus free fruit and drinks at our Karlsruhe office.
  4. Comprehensive private health insurance on top of statutory coverage, including vision care, dental care, and mental health support.
  5. Company pension scheme with a 15% employer contribution on top of your salary conversion.
  6. Business bike leasing for you and your household—with full insurance included.
  7. Access to exclusive employee discounts on top brands (tech, travel, fashion, and more).

The recruitment process consists of:

  1. Screening call with Talent Acquisition Partner.
  2. First interview with our hiring manager.
  3. Technical interview/case.
  4. Interview with our CPO.
  5. Reference check.
