THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

Our team is responsible for Software Asset Management as well as for Technology & Professional Services Procurement across the entire Zalando Group. As a member of the team, you will lead and guide exciting and varying projects in the field of Software Asset Management. You will consult the application owners throughout the Zalando group in optimizing their software licenses and reducing risks. You identify and pursue global optima in licensing software solutions across different Zalando Business Units. Together with the team, you will bring Software Asset Management at Zalando to the next level.

Please note that the position is fixed term, available until 30. April, 2026 with a possible extension for another 6 months.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• You will enhance the maturity of Software Asset Management at Zalando (advise Application Owners, refine processes, improve IT-Enablement, reporting and KPIs).
• You perform regular license compliance reviews to ensure a compliant usage of 3rd party software and report KPIs to senior management.
• You collaborate closely with the Software Procurement team to consult on optimal licensing to ensure a high quality of decision making when contracting software.
• You manage external service providers that deliver operative and tactical Software Asset Management support.
• You will add and maintain data in the Software Asset Management tool (ServiceNow).

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• You have 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in Software Asset Management, IT Procurement and/or a degree in IT, business studies or economics.
• You possess knowledge and experience of working with ServiceNow including SAMPro; experience in (IT) Procurement is a plus.
• You are used to working autonomously and efficiently in a highly self-driven, structured manner and bring excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• You bring good analytical and stakeholder management skills, knowledge of software licensing and you are curious to extend your knowledge in Software Asset Management.
• You have proven that you can lead internal and external software audits and enable strategic decisions.
• You get excited by technology and continuously develop your knowledge, for example, on license models.
