Avenga, an international engineering firm, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with hands-on Akamai and platform engineering experience to build and operate secure, reliable infrastructure across CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams to boost reliability, performance and security, driving automation and SRE best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum several years of SRE or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security.
• Strong Terraform / IaC experience.
• Proficient in CI/CD, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Coding or automation skills in C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell or JavaScript.
• Solid knowledge of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, monitoring and observability.

• Optimize security policies, traffic routing, caching and certificate management.

At the core of the role

We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong hands‑on experience in Akamai and platform engineering. You’ll focus on building and operating secure, reliable and high‑performing infrastructure across CDN, WAF, DNS and edge security, while driving automation and SRE best practices.

You’ll work closely with development, infrastructure and security professionals to improve platform reliability, performance, security and operational efficiency.

Core skills you’ll bring

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and/or Platform Engineering
• Hands‑on experience with Akamai CDN, WAF, DNS and Edge Security
• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS
• Automation or development skills in C#, .NET, Go, Python, PowerShell or JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, monitoring and observability

Nice‑to‑have

• Experience with Akamai Property Manager, Application & API Protector, Bot Manager, EdgeWorkers or GTM
• Experience with Akamai APIs and platform automation
• Knowledge of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and capacity planning
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
