Umbilical Search is proud to represent a global leader in plant engineering, known for delivering complex turnkey solutions across the power generation sector.

With over four decades of expertise and a strong presence across Europe and Central Asia, this organisation is seeking a skilled Site Manager to lead a major emissions-reduction and plant upgrade programme.

This is a key role on a €100m international energy project, managing all on-site construction activities across two multi-phase plant shutdowns. The successful candidate will help transition from project design into execution, with strong support from engineering, commercial, and local teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Lead all site activities from preparation to commissioning across two power plant units
  2. Manage dismantling, ESP replacement, boiler upgrades, and SNCR building installation
  3. Oversee up to 200 site staff and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
  4. Deliver daily briefings, manage risk assessments, and enforce health & safety standards
  5. Coordinate logistics: crane locations, material flow, and site layout
  6. Align works with technical drawings, timelines, and project specifications
  7. Resolve site issues quickly and maintain progress across multiple contractors
  8. Prepare key documentation: schedules, safety plans, and local compliance paperwork
  9. Liaise with internal teams, the client, and project partners throughout project phases
  10. Support final testing, performance checks, and handover in early 2028

Ideal Profile :

  1. Proven experience as Site Manager / Supervisor on complex industrial or power generation projects
  2. Background in EPC, energy, heavy industry, or chemical / nuclear construction
  3. Mechanical or construction engineering degree (or equivalent technical qualification)
  4. Strong planning, coordination, and leadership abilities
  5. Fluent English required; German or regional language skills beneficial
  6. Willingness to rotate between Germany and Kosovo
  7. Initial 6-month preparation phase based in Germany
  8. From April 2026 to April 2028: 3-month site rotations in Kosovo with a 2-week return to Germany after each cycle
  9. All travel, accommodation, and expenses are fully covered
