Job Title : Senior Site Manager – Phosphate Comminution & Transportation (Freelance)

Engagement : Freelance / Contract Position

Project Overview :

My German Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the full execution of a phosphate comminution and transportation project based in Ben Guerir, Morocco . The role covers the coordination of complex mechanical installations, civil interface management, and day-to-day leadership of site-based teams comprising local and expatriate personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the construction schedule, managing subcontractors, and maintaining clear communication with the client throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities :

• Direct and oversee all site activities related to phosphate ore crushing, grinding (comminution) , and transport infrastructure such as conveyors or pipeline systems.
• Supervise mechanical installation and commissioning of crushing stations, grinding mills, feeders, screens, and bulk material handling systems.
• Coordinate and monitor civil construction interface where mechanical systems are installed (e.g., foundations, cable trenches, support structures).
• Lead, support, and motivate a multinational team including subcontractors, vendors, and local site staff.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the end client, managing site meetings, technical clarifications, and progress updates.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality control measures, and project specifications.
• Identify construction risks and actively manage mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with the commissioning team to transition the plant from mechanical completion to operational readiness.

Qualifications and Experience :

• At least 10 years of experience in site-based project execution within heavy industrial or mineral processing environments.
• Proven background in mechanical works , particularly related to ore comminution and material transport systems .
• Understanding of civil works integration with mechanical packages.
• Previous experience on phosphate, mining, or mineral processing projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills in multicultural and remote site environments.
• Ability to interface directly with clients, technical specialists, and corporate stakeholders.
• Proficiency in French (mandatory) and English (fluent) for both written and verbal communication.
• International project experience is highly valued.
