Your Tasks

1. Conduct ad-hoc market analysis and provide daily Spot forecasts
2. Carry out market coupling analysis before and after spot; determine impact on Intraday Trading and aFRR/PICASSO for Battery Portfolio
3. Provide trading ideas for Short-term and prompt Power and Gas markets
4. Identify and highlight trends and market developments to support commercial decision-making on portfolio flex
5. Create and further enhance tools and models jointly with other stakeholders
6. Develop efficient relationships with peer analysts and traders across multiple teams and locations
7. Act as an interface between Trading, Asset Management, and IT Experts
8. Manage internal and external stakeholders with regards to Flex Projects
9. Design and continuously improve Algo Trading strategies

Your Profile

• University degree in economics, finance, physics, engineering, or a comparable subject
• Excellent understanding of the German Day Ahead, Intraday, and ancillary service markets
• Experience in asset optimization, renewables trading, and a deep understanding of physical spot markets
• Combined experience of power and gas trading is advantageous
• Highly entrepreneurial individual with a proven track record in P&L contribution
• Self-motivated, hands-on mentality, strong technical and quantitative skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience with 365-day/year and 24/7 shift operation is advantageous
• Willingness to travel and manage a Munich-based trading operation
• Fluency in English and German is required
