Qualifikationen

To support our Drug Safety & Metabolism Team in Schwabenheim (near Mainz), we are looking for you as of now, full time and initially for a fixed term of 2 years, as a

Senior Scientist (m/f/d), Preclinical Development in Animal Health

Your Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Scientifically support Research and Development with regard to new and existing products
2. Compile and evaluate pharmacological and toxicological profiles of chemical substances by literature search and testing
3. Plan, conduct and evaluate inhouse studies according to GLP guidelines, e.g., toxicity, pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and residue depletion, as well as monitor equivalent outsourced studies
4. Compile expert reports, other scientific texts, and presentations in English for authorities
5. Maintain and extend contact to contract research organizations, external experts and universities
6. Act as preclinical representative in international multidisciplinary project teams

Your Qualifications

1. Veterinary Medicine degree, including PhD or comparable
2. Experience in Research and Development, ideally in the international veterinary pharmaceutical industry
3. Experience in managing animal studies, ideally according to GLP
4. Profound knowledge in pharmacology, metabolism and toxicology
5. Experience in pharmacokinetic and metabolic evaluation of active substances
6. Precise, analytical and creative work approach to problem solving
7. Fluent written and spoken German and English language proficiency
