About Us : Co-reactive is revolutionizing the construction industry by transforming CO₂ into high-performance building materials. Our goal is to make CO₂-neutral construction possible for everyone, everywhere. Using our systems, we produce a sustainable cement substitute that binds CO₂ permanently and with long-term durability. We are currently scaling our production facilities to an industrial level — and we need you to help us do it! We’re a fast-growing, dynamic team of more than 10 employees, bringing together our technical center, production, and office at a single location in Erkrath, near Düsseldorf.

Your Role : The Co-reactive team has laid a strong foundation for bringing our innovative technology to market — demonstrating material performance through pilot customer collaborations and rigorous testing in both internal and external laboratories. Now, we’re looking for a motivated individual to join us in shaping the path toward market introduction. In this role, you will take ownership of critical projects and lead them to success. We’re seeking someone who combines economic insight with a strong material engineering mindset. Your broad expertise will empower you to make sound business decisions that advance Co-reactive scientifically, strategically, and sustainably.

Your responsibilities

  • Supervise our cement and concrete laboratory, ensuring high standards in testing, safety, and innovation.
  • Analyze and manage material characteristics, including mechanical performance, durability, and environmental impact.
  • Ensure material health & safety compliance in lab operations, aligning with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Lead the certification process for our materials, enabling their use in commercial construction applications.
  • Broaden our feedstock base by identifying and validating industrial by-products and alternative materials for mineral carbonation.
  • Collaborate with operation and business teams to align technical development with market needs.

Your profile

  • Passion for sustainability and environmental issues — you're committed to driving real change.
  • A completed university degree (M.Sc. or PhD) in material science & engineering, mineralogy, geology, metallurgy, or similar.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Know-how in the cement and concrete industry is beneficial.
  • You consistently demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and a hands-on mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English.

What we offer

  • Competitive annual gross salary between €60,000 and €70,000, depending on experience.
  • 30 vacation days with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility for partial remote work.
  • An inclusive, family-friendly environment that values open feedback and personal growth.
  • Regular team events and opportunities to build your network within the climate tech ecosystem.

Ready to revolutionize the industry and actively contribute to a more sustainable future? Join our team at Co-reactive! Apply now and let's shape a better world together.

Note : At Co-reactive, we prioritize diversity and equal opportunities. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability status.
