AIG Europe S.A. (Germany branch)

We are seeking a Senior Schadenspezialist (w/m/d) im Bereich Sachschaden to join our team at Heilbronn, Frankfurt a.M., München, or Hamburg. This role involves handling complex property insurance claims, working with international cases, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective claims management.

What you will do:

1. Handle Major Loss and Complex damages proactively within assigned authorities, including international cases.
2. Determine coverage, manage investigations, and analyze the extent of damages.
3. Conduct independent investigations by contacting brokers, policyholders, experts, lawyers, authorities, and internal/external investigators.
4. Plan, organize, and participate in settlement meetings and inspections, especially in Major Loss cases.
5. Ensure accurate assessment and appropriate reserving in compliance with best practices.
6. Maintain high standards of customer service.
7. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and inform team leadership about significant damages.
8. Contribute to process improvements in claims handling.

What you need to have:

• Degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or relevant insurance qualifications and experience.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Deep knowledge of property damage claims regulation and legal/regulatory requirements.
• Extensive experience in handling insurance claims in property, household, SME, business interruption, and legal disputes.
• Ability to evaluate insurance coverage comprehensively.
• Structured working style, good time management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with claims audits and process improvements.
