Job summary

Avvale GmbH in Germany seeks a Senior SAP Manager / Practice Lead to guide the SAP Practice, drive S/4HANA transformations, and lead a high-caliber consulting team.

You will collaborate with clients to design scalable SAP solutions, expand our portfolio, and pursue new business opportunities while aligning with market needs and the company strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering SAP solutions.
• Experience in greenfield projects, rollouts and S/4hana and system conversions.
• Strong expertise in at least one of SD, MM or PP/Manufacturing modules, plus broad end-to-end SCM knowledge.
• Experience in team/practice leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work in large teams and interact confidently with senior customer stakeholders.
• Exposure to German mid-market/manufacturing sector would be highly preferred.
• Proficient in German and in English; structured, precise way of working.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development and growth of Avvale's SAP Practice in Germany.

• Coordinate and align client stakeholders and technical teams for successful delivery.
• Support pre-sales activities: client workshops, solution design, estimations, and proposals.

To strategically expand our SAP consulting portfolio in Germany and support our clients in complex digital transformation initiatives, we are looking for a Senior SAP Manager / Practice Lead (m/f/d) who combines extensive SAP expertise with strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the strategic development and growth of Avvale's SAP Practice in Germany.

• Driving SAP S/4HANA transformation projects, with a particular focus on Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and/or Production Planning (PP).

• Supporting clients in designing and implementing innovative, scalable, and future-proof SAP solutions.

• Expanding and continuously enhancing our SAP consulting portfolio in line with market trends and client needs.

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.

• Contributing to Avvale's long‑term business strategy and strengthening our position in the German market.

• Leading, mentoring, and developing the local SAP Operations team, strengthening its capabilities and providing senior‑level oversight of projects.

• Coordinating and aligning client business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Supporting pre‑sales activities, including client workshops, solution design, effort estimations, and proposal development.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of working experience in delivering SAP Solutions;

• Experience in green field projects, rollouts and S/4hana and system conversation;

• A strong expertise in at least one of SD, MM or PP/Manufacturing modules, combined with broader end‑to‑end Supply Chain knowledge, would be ideal.

• Experience in team/practice leadership;

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in large teams and ability to interact confidently with senior customer stakeholders, including international ones;

• Experience in SAP consulting company and exposure to the German mid‑market/manufacturing sector would be highly preferred;

• Proficient in German and in English;

• Structured and extremely precise way of working;

• Flexible, open‑minded and team player with strong communication skills;

• Availability to travel.
