Job summary

Westernacher Consulting is seeking a seasoned SAP Master Data Management consultant in Hamburg to lead data transformation efforts for SAP S/4HANA projects. You will design MDM strategies, oversee data migration, and advise clients on Customer Vendor Integration and Business Partner concepts, ensuring data quality and readiness across modules.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of SAP consulting, strong communication in German and English, and willingness to travel as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Proven involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Customer Vendor Integration and Business Partner concepts.
• Experience with data migration planning and execution.
• Functional SAP module exposure (MM, SD, PP, FI or CO).
• Strong German and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Design and implement master data management strategies for SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Lead master data workstreams and take ownership from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation and go-live.
• Advise clients on key SAP S/4HANA master data topics, including Customer Vendor Integration and Business Partner conversion, Material Ledger and data quality.
• Profile existing ERP data, define the migration scope and help clients improve data quality and readiness for SAP S/4HANA.
• Plan and execute data migration activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and consistency throughout the transformation.
• Collaborate with functional teams across SAP FI/CO, SD, MM, PP and related areas to support integrated end-to-end processes.

Qualifications

• At least 5–7 years of relevant SAP consulting experience, including strong involvement in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Proven experience in SAP Master Data Management, data migration and data quality.
• Practical knowledge of Customer Vendor Integration and Business Partner conversion, Material Ledger or comparable SAP S/4HANA master data topics.
• Functional experience in at least one SAP module, such as MM, SD, PP, FI or CO.
• Understanding of SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transition approaches, including Greenfield, Brownfield and selective data transition scenarios.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English.
• Willingness to travel according to project requirements.
