MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As Germany accelerates its energy transition, residential battery storage is the critical missing piece-maximizing solar self-consumption, reducing grid dependence, and empowering homeowners with clean energy autonomy. At the center of this shift is the need for strong, sales-driven professionals who can turn opportunity into action.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager with a proven ability to sell, a strong personal network, and a passion for delivering customer excellence. If you have the drive to grow business, close high-impact deals, and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced renewable energy sector-this is your opportunity to lead the charge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
  • Sell Relentlessly
    Own the full sales cycle-from prospecting to closing. You are expected to generate, manage, and close opportunities independently.
  • Leverage Your Network
    Bring and expand your own strong portfolio of installer and distribution network and r elationships to accelerate our market reach and sales velocity.
  • Champion Customer Excellence
    Place the customer at the center of everything. Understand their needs, deliver outstanding service, and build long-term trust and loyalty.
  • Drive Revenue Growth
    Develop and execute strategic sales plans to consistently exceed revenue targets . Prioritize high-impact accounts and deliver results.
  • Position with Authority
    Confidently communicate the value proposition of our storage solutions, technically and commercially. Differentiate us clearly from competitors.
  • Collaborate Internally
    Partner closely with internal teams-including marketing, operations, product, and executive leadership-to deliver an aligned, best-in-class customer experience.
  • Represent Canadian Solar
    Act as the face of the company at industry events, trade fairs, and customer engagements. Build brand awareness and new business opportunities.

COMPETENCIES

  • Hands-on approach, down-to-earth mentality, and ability to work autonomously under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels, including executive management in an international environment.

LANGUAGES

  • Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.

LOCATION

Your backpack is filled with

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in B2B sales in solar, energy storage, or cleantech
  • A robust personal network of EPCs, installers, and partners ready to engage
  • Strong sales track record , with clear evidence of independently closing complex, high-value deals
  • Deep technical knowledge of residential battery storage systems (string inverter experience is a plus)
  • Fluency in German and English , with strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset with a passion for customer success
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills , with the ability to engage across all organizational levels
  • Strong team player with a focus on internal collaboration to ensure alignment and efficiency across departments
