Job Description:

Our Chemicals Europe team is looking for a new (Senior) Sales Manager (f/m/d) - DACH to own and drive the growth of an existing portfolio of customers within our Acids, Lyes, Base and Industrial Chemical Solutions working closely with HELM's global teams. We are innovation drivers, possibility makers and a reliable partner, all in one.

How you will contribute:

  • You will be responsible for the proactive management of our existing customers and support the positive development of these relationships through regular customer visits and interactions.
  • Focusing on the DACH regions, you will also promote the establishment of new customer relationships and the development of new product opportunities. In doing so, you will act in a motivated and creative way with regards to the application and implementation of product & local strategies.
  • You will also be responsible for executing business plans and developing account strategies for responsible market segment to identify opportunities for increasing sales and/or pursuing new business.
  • Uncover information regarding customers’ present and anticipated needs in the responsible market segment, market trends as well as developing appropriate sales strategies and measures together with the team.
  • You will act as an interface to the areas of business development, product management and supply chain to provide the best possible customer solutions that match our product and service offerings.
  • As a natural networker, you enjoy attending events and meetings within the industry as well as initiating them yourself.

Your profile:

  • Following your business studies or comparable formal sales training, you have already gained several years of professional experience in procurement, marketing and sales of products in the chemical industry.
  • You furthermore possess excellent knowledge of sales management in the chemical industry, while demonstrating a high level of competence in the negotiation of long-term supply and sales contracts. Furthermore, you can act flexibly and quickly adapt to new framework conditions.
  • Different stakeholders respect you as a reliable and trustworthy negotiator. You have a distinct entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of decision-making confidence.
  • You approach existing and new business contacts with an open mind. You have a team-oriented attitude, proactive and willing to take on new challenges and risks.
  • Strong ability to identify, develop and advance opportunities where HELM can provide solutions to customer needs and obtain new business.
  • Proficient in English & German is a must.
  • Good knowledge and experience using common IT applications (MS Office, Salesforce, SAP or similar) will also be a plus for the role.
  • You enjoy being active on an international level and are willing to travel regularly to existing and new customers – up to 30%.
