Biosynth is a critical materials provider that secures the supply chains of the life science and pharmaceutical industries with global research, manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Biosynth AG is headquartered in Staad, Switzerland.

At its Berlin location, Biosynth GmbH conducts contract development and manufacturing in bioconjugation and polymer-based active ingredient administration.

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to start as soon as possible to acquire new customers and support existing ones.
Purpose of the Role

Responsible for sales of Bioconjugation (GMP and non-GMP) products and services to existing and new customers.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, including meetings, and exceeding sales targets.
  2. Negotiate and close business opportunities.
  3. Build and leverage industry connections through networking events, conferences, and professional associations.
  4. Prospect for new clients and generate leads within the biotech, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical sectors.
  5. Develop sales tools, presentations, and collateral to support sales activities.
  6. Maintain relationships with key clients, understanding and addressing their needs.
  7. Implement strategies to drive growth and increase market presence.
  8. Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
  9. Drive sales of bioconjugation services within the assigned territory to meet sales goals.
  10. Communicate market insights to the Site Manager.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO, and GMP standards.
Candidate Requirements
  1. MSc in Chemistry or Biotechnology; PhD preferred.
  2. Essential knowledge of bioconjugation.
  3. Experience in business development within CRO/CMO or pharma companies, with a solid understanding of the industry.
  4. Successful sales record of GMP products/services, preferably in drug substances.
  5. Practical experience in manufacturing proteins or bioconjugate drugs is advantageous.
  6. Knowledge of protein chemistry is preferred.
  7. Existing network in pharma, biopharma, or related industries.
  8. Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40%), mainly US/EU, with a valid driver’s license.
  9. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  10. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  11. Proficiency in Office and SAP software.
  12. Team-oriented with a commercial mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
  13. Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

We prefer candidates who can maintain a regular presence at our Berlin site, either by being based there or through regular travel.
