Job summary

Optimus Search is seeking a Senior Rust Engineer in the Munich area to support Linux-based edge systems and improve real-time data analysis algorithms. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Rust and modern C++, and a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Qualifications

• Completed a degree in Computer Science or similar.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Rust.
• 2+ years of professional experience using modern C++ (17/20, or later).
• Experience in Embedded Systems, such as RTOS and Embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of OS-level (kernel) concepts.
• Robotics background and experience with ROS.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support deployments on Linux-based edge systems in both test and production environments
• Create and improve algorithms for high‑traffic, real‑time data analysis, and swarm intelligence
• Develop interfaces and integrate communication protocols to ensure reliable and secure data transfer
• Work cross‑functionally with multiple specialists

Desired Skills and Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience using Rust
• 2+ years of professional experience using modern C++ (17/20, or later)
• Experience in Embedded Systems, such as RTOS and Embedded Linux, as well as some knowledge on an OS‑level (kernel)
