For our client, a leading company in its sector, we are searching for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (m/w/d) as soon as possible.

Your job

• Be part of international development team and work closely with freelancers, third parties and agencies.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization and automation.
• Develop, monitor and scale the back-end processes and API services hosted in a stable cloud environment.
• Be responsible for all DevOps and InfoSec processes
• Work with key stakeholders and management to jointly define project and product requirements.
• Help the Head of Development to manage and prioritize the product pipeline and the corresponding backlogs to reach milestones with defined scope, time and budget targets.

Your profile

• Previous experience (at least two years) with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries.
• Previous experience in designing REST APIs following openspec standards.
• Previous experience with Docker.
• Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as Vue.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, and ORM.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Ability to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
• Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git and Github.
• Familiarity with continuous integration such as CircleCI, CodeDeploy.
