Senior Robotics Software and Automation Engineer

Role

As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer in the Customer Solutions Engineering team, you will help ideate, design, build, and program next-generation robotic automation systems powered by Intrinsic Flowstate. You will be involved early in project scoping with customers and partners, demonstrate our technology and capabilities, determine needs, write specifications, review designs, create prototypes, and build production-grade solutions.

How your work moves the mission forward

1. Concept new robotic automation applications, scope efforts, and assess feasibility using the Intrinsics platform.
2. Lead joint development of automation solutions toward production deployment with customers.
3. Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality software based on the Intrinsics platform.
4. Document and communicate work to internal and external stakeholders.
5. Contribute to the development of automation systems for internal projects, such as proofs of concept.

Skills you will need to be successful

1. Masters or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
2. Professional experience with C and/or Python.
3. Willingness to work in ambiguity, select a direction, and drive towards a solution.
4. Experience applying robotics and industrial automation.
5. Motivation to work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, including revenue and product management.
6. Business fluent proficiency in German and English (at least B2, C1 preferred).

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

1. Experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems.
2. Experience delivering industrial robotics and automation solutions.
3. Familiarity with ROS 2, its frameworks, and Gazebo.
4. Practical experience with simulation or CAD.
5. Experience leading project teams in building robotic systems.
6. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
