You'll be joining a small, high-impact team within a dynamic bank that is part of a leading international financial services group. Our flat hierarchies and direct access to executive management offer you the opportunity to contribute where it matters most. We work closely with the global risk function of our group and maintain open dialogue with supervisory authorities.

We support each other across topics and functions, especially when ad-hoc or unexpected challenges arise. About your role :

In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and continuous development of our financial and strategic risk frameworks. You will ensure compliance with regulatory expectations, contribute to capital planning processes, and help to maintain a sound risk and capital position.

This position is ideal for experienced risk professionals who take a broad, pragmatic view of financial and strategic risks and prefer hands-on responsibility over highly specialized modeling tasks.

Your responsibilities include:

Capital & Financial Risk Management

• Oversee and further develop risk frameworks for financial and strategic (business) risk
• Ensure capital adequacy and support ICAAP processes including capital planning and risk-bearing capacity assessments
• Take ownership of simple, robust internal models (e.g. credit, market and pension risks, stress tests, earnings volatility) - no advanced model development expected
• Evaluate capital needs under baseline and stress scenarios and support supervisory reviews

Quantitative Risk Assessment

• Conduct scenario analyses and provide input to risk strategy discussions
• Use existing model frameworks effectively to support capital planning and ICAAP processes
• Review and validate inputs and assumptions used in risk quantification

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and regulators regarding financial and strategic risk topics
• Prepare concise and insightful risk reports and presentations for senior management and committees
• Collaborate with global risk and other functions on risk themes and regulatory developments

About you :

You bring sound experience within the financial services risk management, ideally from a bank or regulatory authority, and combine analytical ability with practical judgment

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a university degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or a related discipline
• Has several years of relevant professional experience in risk or capital management
• Understands banking regulation (Basel III, CRR/CRD, ICAAP) and supervisory expectations
• Brings a generalist mindset with the ability to manage a broad range of risk topics
• Communicates clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders and regulators
• Is comfortable working in a low-risk environment with relatively simple risk models
• Enjoys cross-functional collaboration and demonstrates strong team player attitude
• Speaks fluent German and English.
