Overview

JOIN OUR TEAM

As Senior Retail Training & Development Manager, you will shape the future of training at Westwing Stores. You will design and roll out our innovative learning programme, create consistent training content, and act as a sparring partner for Store Managers and Store Teams. Your mission is to ensure excellent staff performance through high-frequency training in areas such as sales, storytelling, and product and brand knowledge with the goal to enable highly personal interactions, create emotional moments, and drive superior buying conversion. You will work in a performance-driven, highly dynamic, creative, and ambitious environment, reporting directly to the Director Stores and closely connected with international trainers as well as local teams. This position is permanent and based in Munich.

What you'll do
  • coordinate and manage the overall training landscape for our Stores and ensure structured rollout
  • design and implement learning journeys tailored to different target groups (from new joiners to senior sales staff) to ensure that Store staff offer extraordinary and personal interactions, evoke positive emotions and lead to superior conversion rates
  • design and implement a mystery shopping programme to ensure our standards are met and to identify training needs
  • introduce and manage training tools (Learning Management Systems), ensuring scalability and high user adoption
  • create training content (e.g. modules, playbooks, toolkits) in close collaboration with experts and stakeholders
  • conduct and facilitate trainings yourself (e.g. sales skills, product knowledge, coaching sessions)
  • ensure measurement and reporting of training success and continuous improvement of learning formats
  • collaborate with Store leaders to translate business needs into learning solutions
  • build and maintain a strong trainer network, internally and externally
You come with
  • university degree in business, economics, psychology, adult education or a related field; additional certification as a business trainer or coach is a strong plus
  • proven experience in Learning & Development with strong skills in learning design, creation of learning journeys, and structured content development for retail employees
  • background in sales or retail with experience in conducting or facilitating training courses, ideally in a premium or luxury environment
  • knowledge of e-learning, learning management platforms and state of the art training tools
  • strong project management skills and experience in executing global projects
  • a structured, proactive and results-driven working style with strong organisational skills
  • high level of self-motivation, ownership, and drive, combined with willingness to challenge and develop yourself
  • excellent communication and facilitation skills and ability to engage with different stakeholders, from sales staff to leadership
  • fluency in English and German, with ability to communicate with international trainers and colleagues
  • a well-established trainer network is a plus
