Senior Researcher (all genders) - Autonomous Systems

That makes you stand out

• You hold a Ph.D. in autonomous systems, robotics, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• You have a deep understanding of AI, automation and robotics technologies; ranging from robotics architectures, and perception systems to mobile and service robotics (including experience with ROS).
• You are experienced in coordinating research projects as well as in designing research proposals with consortium partners in industry and academia.
• Your strong network in the field of robotics and autonomous systems enables you to establish strong research collaborations with suitable project partners from academia and industry.
• You are passionate about exploring new paradigms in autonomous behavior, including AI-driven planning, reinforcement learning, behavior trees, and MAPE-K frameworks, as well as their impact on user acceptance.
• You are excited about contributing on a strategic and operational level in an agile research team.
• You enjoy regular and close exchanges with clients and research partners of XITASO.
• Your language skills enable you to conduct your role in English. Knowledge of German is desirable but not essential.

• You research, analyze and evaluate new technology fields in autonomous systems.
• Together with autonomous system’s experts inside and outside of XITASO, you identify research questions at the intersection of AI, automation, robotics and industry applications.
• You shape future research initiatives aligning with XITASO’s long term goals, support ongoing projects with your expertise, and carry innovative ideas and results to the public, e.g. through publications, presentations, or workshops.
