We are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager - Intermediaries to join our sales team in Frankfurt. In this role, you will take over an exciting client base and collaborate with colleagues to elevate our intermediary business to even greater heights.

This is an entrepreneurial role with significant scope to create value for the firm. A genuine passion for client work is essential to succeed in this role.

What would your role be?

  • Contributing to the sales strategy for the intermediaries business in Germany (growth targets, client coverage, product focus, etc.)
  • Ensuring a competitive and consistent positioning of Vontobel Institutional Clients and its products on the German intermediary market
  • Ensure and implement a structured sales process for lead generation, follow-up, conversion and client servicing.
  • Integrate into a trusting work environment that helps the team to outperform and exceed expectations.
  • Work closely with Country Head, Institutional Business Segment colleagues, as well as Portfolio Managers, Product Management, Marketing and other teams to further develop our world-class client service standards.
  • Plan and execute client events.
  • Provide feedback to keep Vontobel's marketing and content offering (investment content, presentations, etc.) innovative and best-in-class.
  • Contribute to core projects as assigned from time to time.

What are we looking for?

  • Ambitious and result driven personality with a strong desire to generate new business.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Sales or client facing role in the Asset Management industry.
  • Excellent client network and trusted relations in the intermediary market in Germany (Private Banks, Cooperative Banks, Savings Banks, Insurance, IFAs and other market segments)
  • Excellent technical knowledge of investment markets and investment products, in particular investment funds
  • A good understanding of market trends and the regulatory framework
  • Strong entrepreneurial and commercial mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure, against tight deadlines and to quickly adjust to changes in priorities.
  • High personal Integrity
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • German native language and excellent English (verbal and written).
  • A bachelor or similar (CFA, AZEK) degree in finance
  • Proficient in MS Outlook
