About the opportunity

You will work in the Financial Empowerment domain. Our goal is to empower everyone to achieve financial freedom and unlock their potential for a better life by providing N26 users with access to the money they need to achieve their life objectives, whether today (deposits or borrowing) or tomorrow (saving and investing). We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer in our Berlin/Barcelona office. You will be working with a couple of teams as part of our Lending & Savings segment in the Financial Empowerment domain.

• Advocate the quality culture in cross-functional teams and ensure good testing practices are followed
• Design, develop, and maintain test cases and documentation for Android, iOS, and Web applications
• Establish testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams
• Coach engineers on testing practices and promote shared responsibility for quality
• Develop maintainable automated checks using industry-leading tools like Appium, Rest-Assured, Gatling, Cypress
• Proactively suggest improvements to tools, services, and products quality
• Use exploratory testing techniques to discover and prevent issues
• Report bugs and follow up on their resolution
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality engineering
• Holistically ensure the delivery of quality products by your team
• Implement testing strategies in fast-paced agile environments
• Experience testing Mobile (Android & iOS), Web, and Microservice applications
• Follow clean code and SOLID design principles
• Measure quality and gather metrics for continuous improvement
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills
• Experience working with Jira, TestRail, or similar tools
• Professional proficiency in English
• Experience with Software Development Compliance is a plus
