Senior QA Automation Engineer – System Integrations Team (f/m/d), Berlin

This role involves working on complex problems in delivering renewable energy solutions: from building pipelines for automated regression testing, to coaching team members on structured test design and coverage, troubleshooting, and prioritizing bug reports.

At Enpal, you would be:

• Building software: Delivering incremental value and improving user experience to impact climate goals.
• Making the team’s life easier: Automating deployment, regression tests, load tests, and vulnerability scans.
• Growing & learning: Gaining expertise in MQTT, Azure, test automation, embedded systems, and IoT protocols.

Qualifications

We seek roughly a 50% match with the following:

• 5+ years in QA testing (manual/automation), with IoT and embedded systems experience.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework).
• Hands-on hardware testing experience with energy products or IoT devices.
• Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, Modbus, OCPP, HTTP, Zigbee, Wi-Fi).
• Setup CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
• Debugging skills using tools like JTAG, serial consoles, Wireshark.
• Strong collaboration skills across hardware, cloud, and product teams.
• Experience establishing QA processes and leading QA communities.
• Practical cloud platform experience (e.g., Azure).
