Geely Auto Deutschland is seeking a seasoned purchasing leader to drive indirect procurement across Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Logistics in the local German market. You will collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to ensure needs are met with cost efficiency and compliance.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in Purchasing, with automotive experience preferred, and strong analytical and communication skills in English and German.

Aufgaben

• Lead the procurement process for all areas of the Company in the local market, focusing on Marketing, Trade Marketing & Logistics categories.
• Source indirect goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to understand needs and align with business strategies.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers in transportation, storage, promotion, advertising, and events based on quality, cost and compliance.
• Negotiate contracts with selected suppliers ensuring favorable prices, delivery times, quality and service.
• Manage ongoing supplier relationships and resolve issues during contract execution.
• Develop strategies to optimize costs and improve supply chain and marketing efficiency.
• Conduct market analysis and monitor automotive industry trends for opportunities and competitiveness.
• Participate in tender processes and evaluate proposals to ensure quality, price, and timing.
• Develop purchasing policies and procedures, including single source and supplier recommendations, for transparency and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions and contracts in compliance with procedures and regulations.

*Proven experience in Sales-related Procurement, with a strong focus on Marketing, Advertising, Media, Events, or Professional Services Procurement.

We are open to candidates from a wide range of industries. Automotive or manufacturing experience is not mandatory, as long as you have solid procurement expertise in the relevant categories.

1. Lead the procurement process for all areas of the Company in the local market, with focus on Marketing, Trade Marketing & Logistics categories.

2. This role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective sourcing of indirect goods and services.

3. Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Finance, to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with business strategies.

4. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in key areas such as transportation, storage, promotion, advertising, and events, considering criteria such as quality, reliability, cost, and compliance capacity.

5. Negotiate contracts with selected suppliers, ensuring favorable conditions in terms of prices, delivery times, quality, and service.

6. Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers, monitoring their performance and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise during contract execution.

7. Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency in the supply chain and marketing activities, in coordination with internal and external teams.

8. Conduct market analysis and monitor relevant trends in the automotive industry to identify improvement opportunities and maintain competitiveness.

9. Participate in tender processes and proposal evaluation, ensuring that requirements for quality, price, and time are met in all purchasing areas.

10. Develop policies and procedures for purchasing processes, including strategies such as single source and supplier recommendation, ensuring transparency and efficiency in procurement operations.

11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing transactions and contracts, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and legal regulations.

Background:

- At least 10 years' experience in Purchasing.

- Experience in the automotive sector is preferred.

- Strong analytical and good communication skills.
