The Senior Project Manager SAT-X plays a key role within the SAT-X pillar of the Services Accounting & Tax (SAT) department. This role involves co-driving strategic transformation initiatives, including process governance, ERP roll-ins (e.g., S/4HANA), and future global and regional projects. The individual will ensure projects are executed on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with process governance principles, establishing SAT-X as a global process excellence hub.

• Co-lead and manage end-to-end strategic transformation projects within the department (e.g., process governance integrations, mass roll-ins, regional process standardizations).
• Ensure projects are delivered according to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards, handling scope adjustments as necessary.
• Act as an interface across various departments, stakeholders, local affiliates, and IT partners.
• Drive alignment with ZEISS-wide governance frameworks and process excellence standards.
• Identify and manage project risks, escalating and resolving critical issues promptly.
• Establish and track KPIs, ensuring data-driven project performance and communication to senior stakeholders.
• Assist in formulating best practices for global finance transformation.

• Sustainable experience in financial transformations, process governance, or shared services.
• Proven track record of leading extensive projects within global environments.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) is a plus.
• Deep understanding of SAP ERP systems, preferably S/4HANA.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and issue resolution skills.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are desirable.
